Breathe new life into your engine with this complete distributor ignition kit from Proflow Proflow Ready to Run Distributor ready-to-run black billet distributors provide reliable spark throughout the rpm range, so they'll deliver the performance you need, no matter what you drive--race car, street machine, or hauler. The affordable distributors have high-dollar features that outperform the competition, like a lightweight aluminium housing that's precision CNC-machined for strength and stability, polished steel shafts with sealed ball bearings for stable operation through 10,000 rpm, and a maintenance-free, high-output magnetic trigger for accurate and reliable performance. The distributors have a black alkyd cap and some models also feature vacuum advance. An ignition box is not required for use with Proflow's ready-to-run billet distributors except when used with an aftermarket EFI system. Proflow's ignition lead wire sets feature high-temperature silicone outer jackets and insulation, along with a fiberglass braid for more pull strength. These wires are available in custom-fit or universal sets. The custom-fit wires have both terminal ends installed; while the universal sets have the spark plug boots installed—and come with the distributor boot terminals. They also have an oil-filled metal canister and will fit stock mounting brackets. Proflow's Black CDI 6AL ignition box will increase voltage across the plug gap, improving drivability and performance for everyday drivers. They can be installed on 4-, 6- or 8-cylinder engines equipped with a 12 V negative ground electrical system and distributor.
